Introduction:

The praise is to Allaah Lord of the worlds. He created us for His worship, His obedience. He is rich (free of all wants) and we are the ones who are in need.

“And I (Allaah) created not the jinns and the men except they should worship Me (alone). I seek not any provisions (i.e. provisions for themselves or my creatures) verily Allaah is the All-Provider, owner of power Most Strong.” 56-58 surah 51: Az-Zariyat.

He sent His messengers as an invitation to the oneness of Allaah and sincerity of the religion.

“And we did not send any messenger before you (O’ Muhammad) but we inspired him saying [none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allaah)] so worship Me (alone and none else)”

Surah 25 Anbiya

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allaah alone having no partners even though the polytheist despise it. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave messenger to all of the mankind (May Allaah send peace and blessings upon his family and companions the ones who left the lands of the disbelievers in the way of Allaah and struggled in the way of Allaah and were sheltered and victorious many prayers upon them until the Day of Judgment.

As to what follows:

The clearness of the correct belief and the invitation to it is the most important of all the affairs and the requirements confirmed. Because it is from the foundations (of the religion) and it is for all correct actions to be accepted. All of the prophets (May Allaah’s prayers be upon them) used to give importance to it. Their importance to following the correct belief and it’s corrections was always first. There are many verses in the Qur’aan that cover this aspect. The Prophet’s (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) call and his importance of calling to the correct belief was the greatest. Verily he stayed in Mecca for thirteen years (peace and blessings be upon him) calling to the oneness of Allaah and it corrections. When Allaah opened Mecca for him (peace and blessings be upon him) the first thing that he began with was destroying the terminating idols and commanding to the worship of Allaah who is alone with no partners. Verily the scholars of this nation have made great efforts in their struggling and their fighting for the sake of Allaah, and their educating the people and their writing of books. So much so, that books of Aqeedah occupy a large space in the Islamic library.

I would surely love to participate with my small effort in this important work. I wrote these words which has reached the reader. These words aren’t anything new they are only an adduction of some information. Maybe this work will be a proof against the people today, to practice in their lives, and to also point out the mistakes of the people (Aqeedah) so that they may return advice to other than them. So that they might be warned. Verily I have acquired some of the words for this book from some of the imaams and scholars of the muslims like Ibn Qayyim and his student Ibn Katheer and Sheikhul Islaam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahaab and his students (May Allaah have mercy on all of them) especially the book Fath Al-Majeed.

I don’t claim that I have come with anything new. Only I hope that I came close to gathering some of the information (from the books of the past) so that it might be applied in people’s lives today.

The origin of this book comes from the lessons that I gave on the radio (The Qur’aan Al-Kareem station) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabic. It wasn’t my intention for this work to actually become a book. It was firstly from what Allaah had decreed, and secondly some of the brothers suggested that it be made into a book, to benefit the people. I hope that there will be good in that it will play a part, even if it is a very small part in the field of calling to Allaah subhanahu. In a time when ignorance has become abundant in the path of the correct da’wah. Many of the callers are giving very little attention to Aqeedah and they see the people involved in the major shirk around mausoleums and tombs and they also see the people involved in innovations and superstitions.

They also see the callers of ignorance taking advantage of many of the ignorant people of the masses, leading them to destruction taking them as their slaves. Disposing freely of their minds and wealth. Perpetrating like they are the leaders over them with falsehood in the name of ‘ilm and authority.

Verily many from the callers today, unfortunately don’t give much importance to aqeedah and it’s corrections. Some of them even say

“Leave the people upon their different beliefs and don’t raise any objections to them; come together and don’t separate! We will come together on what we all agree upon and pardon each other on what we disagree upon”.

There are many sayings like this that contradict the saying of Allaah:

“If you differ in anything amongst yourselves refer it to Allaah and His Messenger if you believe in Allaah and the last day. That is better and more suitable for final determination.”

Surely there is no joining together and no power except with the returning to the book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, (peace and blessing be upon him) and the abandoning of what contradicts them. Especially in the issues of Aqeedah which are the basis of the religion.

“And hold fast, all of you together, to the rope of Allaah (i.e. this Qur’aan) and be not divided among yourselves.”

(Al-Imran:103)

There is no repairing the last part of this Ummah except what repaired the first part of it. Allaah is the successful and the guider to the straight path. Prayers and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad, all of his family, and all of his companions.
