A Great way to meet lots of muslims and learn about Islam. HOW TO REMAIN LOYAL TO ALLAH (SWT) Ifradulillahi ta’ala bil wilaayah Maintain loyalty to Allah (swt) exclusively إفراد الله تعالى با لولاية: قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ “Shall I take for my protector any other than Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? [Surah Al An’am 6:14] إِنَّ وَلِيِّـيَ اللّهُ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ الْكِتَابَ وَهُوَ يَتَوَلَّى الصَّالِحِينَ “Verily my Wali is Allah, who has revealed the book and he protects the righteous” [Surah A’raf 7:196] ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَأَنَّ الْكَافِرِينَ لَا مَوْلَى لَهُمْ That is because Allah is the Protector of those who believe, but those who reject Allah have no protector. [Surah Muhammad 47:11] 2. Wilaayah Guardianship is the most powerful knot of Islam الولاية : هُنَالِكَ الْوَلَايَةُ لِلَّهِ الْحَقِّ هُوَ خَيْرٌ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ عُقْبًا There, the (only) protection comes from Allah, the True One. He is the Best to reward, and the Best to give success. [Surah Al Kahf 18:44] 3. Walaa’/Muwaalaat Love and Hate for the sake of Allah الولاء الموالاة : Loyalty cannot for the sake of your tribe, race, family, Madhab, or group. Loyalty is only for Allah (swt) 1. There can be no allegiance to other than Allah (swt), such as to the Queen or manmade law. 2. We have muwaalaat and love for the Muslims, the Prophets, the Messengers, the Believers and the Mujahideen because Allah (swt) says so. 3. We have muwaadaat and hatred for the disbelievers for the sake of Allah (swt). Hate the disbelievers but treat them fairly. The Messenger Muhammad (saw) never loved the disbelievers, he (saw) treated them all as misguided. 4. Ifradu lillahi ta’ala bil ibaada Worship Allah (swt) exclusively إفراد الله تعالى بالعباد: قُلْ إِنَّ صَلاَتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ¯ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَاْ أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ “Say my salah (ritual acts), my sacrifice (transactions), my living and my dying are for Allah (swt), He has no partners” [Surah Al An’am 6:162-3] Salah, Ruku, Sajood, Tawaf, Dua, Tahakum are all rituals acts only for Allah (swt). People go to the grave and kiss it; we Muslims do not kiss anything but “Hajratul Aswad” the black stone in the Kaba, we don’t even kiss the Qur’an. Umar Al-Khattab (ra) when he reached the black stone on the Kaba said “By Allah (swt) I know you are a stone and can neither benefit nor harm, just because the Messenger (saw) kissed you I kiss you” Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab in his time removed any graves worshipped. Now people go all the way to the grave of the mother of the Messenger Muhammad (saw), even though these people were not from Islam, even his father. A man came and asked the Messenger Muhammad (saw) about his father who died before Islam and as to where his abode was now. The Messenger Muhammad (saw) said: “he is in the hellfire” the man turned to leave the Messenger (saw) in a sad state, when the Messenger Muhammad (saw) called him back and said “and my father too is also in the hellfire”. 5. Tawheed Mazdaq Talaqi keep - Focusing from who you take your Deen: The Source of the Deen must always be the revelation إِنْ هُوَ إِلا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى ¯ وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى “Nor does he (Muhammad) speak of his own desire (hawa) it only Wahie revealed” [Surah An Najm 53:3] As Muslims we are not people who follow philosophy or want to philosophise. وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ Obey Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe.” O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you. [Surah An Nisa 4:59] Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas (ra) and Abdullah ibn Masood (ra) who said ‘Ulil Amr’ is the legitimate ruler (Umara) and the scholars (Ulema). 6. At-Tahaakum ilallahi wahdahu Arbitration to Allah (swt) exclusively التحاكم الى الله وحده : A Muslim before he does any action or transaction needs to ask if it is allowed. Allah (swt) says فَلاَ وَرَبِّكَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّىَ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجِدُواْ فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِّمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُواْ تَسْلِيمًا “By your lord they are not believers until they arbitrate to you, and they must not feel any hardship on what you decide and submit totally” [Surah An Nisa 4:65] This ayah refers to an incident about a man who went to the Messenger Muhammad (saw) to arbitrate. After he received the decision from the Messenger Muhammad (saw) he went to Abu Bakr As-Siddique (ra) for his opinion. Abu Bakr As-Siddique (ra) heard that the man had already been to the Messenger Muhammad (saw) and did not comment any further to the Messenger’s decision. After that the man went to Umar Al-Khattab (ra). Umar (ra) said “You went to the Messenger Muhammad (saw) for judgement and now you come to me?” He said just wait, went to the back of his house, got his sword and said “O enemy of Allah” and struck the man and killed him, he then went after the companion of the man. The injured companion ran to the Messenger Muhammad (saw) and complained. The Messenger Muhammad (saw) said he didn’t think Umar Al-Khattab (ra) could kill a Mu’min. Allah (swt) revealed the above ayah saying they are not believers. The Messenger Muhammad (saw) then said “Allah (swt) purifies you O Umar” The Messenger Muhammad (saw) also said: » مَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلاً لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرُنَا ، فَهْوَ رَدٌّ « “Any action not from Islam will be rejected”. From the above evidences we derive the following principles. Principle: قاعدة All action must be based on divine text (the Qur’an and Sunnah) according to understanding of the Sahabah (ra) The Messenger Muhammad (saw) said » خَيْرُ أُمَّتِى قَرْنِى ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ « “The best generation is mine and then the one after and then the one after” “And after there will be many liars.” The command is for none but Allah [Surah Yusuf 12:40] فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لا تَعْلَمُونَ If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message. [Surah An Nahl 16:43] If one does not know about a certain aspect of ones deen they must ask the scholars of Islam, otherwise people will remain ignorant and quote phrases such as “we must obey the law of the land”. Principle: قاعدة What ever differs from Islam is Kufr. What ever reconciles with Islam is Kufr If an act is not done solely for the sake of Allah (swt) than it cannot be considered to be Islam, regardless of how much that action resembles this deen of ours. Say: “Shall I seek for judge other than Allah? [Surah Al An’am 6:114] The Messenger Muhammad (saw) said » بَدَأَ الإِسْلاَمُ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ كَمَا بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ« “Islam start as something strange and will return back to something strange, paradise for the strangers”. So today, if you say free-mixing is haram, alcohol is haram, people will say what? People find studying Islam strange in this day and age. It’s as though only clerics should study Islam, though in Islam there is no formal clergy, which one of the innovations of this era. أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُواْ Have you not seen those who claim that they believe [Surah An Nisa 4:60] 7. Tawheed Al Iztimazi Hizbollah - Maintain who you are (belong to Hizb-Ullah): الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ الطَّاغُوتِ فَقَاتِلُواْ أَوْلِيَاء الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيفًا Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan. [Surah Muhammad 4:76] أُوْلَئِكَ حِزْبُ اللَّهِ أَلَا إِنَّ حِزْبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity. [Surah Al Mujadilah 58:22] Do not be like those so called moderate Muslims who say Jews and Christians are not disbelievers. Organisations such as the MCB in fact work actively against any sincere Muslim working to establish Allah’s deen, by reporting them to the Police and the Home Office. Any gathering of such organisations should be avoided; to sit with them is a sin. Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah agree that anybody who says or believes that Jews and Christians are not disbelievers today will himself become an apostate disbeliever. 8. At-Takhalliyyah Qabl At-Tahalliyah Give up before Take up التخلية قبل التحلية : ففَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِن بِاللّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىَ لاَ انفِصَامَ لَهَا Whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold that never breaks. [Surah Baqarah 2:256] We must give up allegiance and loyalty to any land, caste, race, nation before we declare ‘Amantubillahi’ belief in Allah (swt). 9. Hubbullah Love Allah (swt) and those loyal to Allah (swt) حبّ الله : After Allah (swt) on the top of the list should be the Messenger Muhammad (saw). Love the Sahabah (ra) the Tabien, Tabei-Tabien and Ahlul Qibla rather than the Kafir. The Awliya Allah (swt) are selected people. We love all the Ambiyah but we favour the Messenger Muhammad (saw). Allah (swt) favoured us to be from the Ummah of the Messenger Muhammad (saw). We favour the Mujahideen and we love Sheikh Usama bin Laden. Love the Awliya of Allah (swt) and you will then hate enemy of Allah (swt). Aiesha bint Abu Bakr (ra) narrates one man came and said to the Messenger Muhammad (saw) “you are the dearest to me even more than myself, than my family and my wealth, you are dearest to me than my children and when I am home I remember you and cannot have patience until I come to, I remember my death and your death I know you are in highest level of Jannah. I will not be with you” the Messenger (saw) said nothing. Jibril (as) came and said ‘tell him that…” All who obey Allah and the messenger are in the company of those on whom is the Grace of Allah, - of the prophets (who teach), the sincere (lovers of Truth), the witnesses (who testify), and the Righteous (who do good): Ah! What a beautiful fellowship! [Surah An Nisa 4:69] 10. As-Sabr wal ibtilaa Must be patience and handle the tests that come from Allah (swt) Allah will not leave the believers in the state in which ye are now, until He separates what is evil from what is good [Surah Al Imran 3:179] الم¯ أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوا أَن يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ Alif, Lam, Mim. Do men imagine that they will be left (at ease) because they say, We believe, and will not be tested with affliction? Assuredly ye will be tried in your property and in your persons [Surah Al Imran 3:186] The Messenger Muhammad (saw) said, “there was a time when fear came to me. No man has been terrified like me or harmed like me. Me and Bilal was walking for 30 days, we had no food except the small amount Bilal, hid in his upper arm” [Tirmidhi] [Ibn Majah]. This was during the time Quraish imposed the embargo on the Muslims. 11. Al Hijrah Migration for the sake of Allah (swt) Those who believed and those who suffered exile and fought (and strove and struggled) in the path of Allah,- they have the hope of the Mercy of Allah. And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful [Surah Baqarah 2:218] This Hijrah is a mechanism to keep the duty and to maintain your own Wala (allegiance). There are 3 types of Hijrah. 1. Hijrah to Darul Islam, where Islam is dominant 2. Hijrah for security reasons. Al Aman, the Muslims went from Makkah to Abyssinia to fulfil their duties and carry dawah. 3. Hijrah to establish the Deen. I.e. to travel to Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. The Messenger Muhammad (saw) said “I’m free (Bara’) from those who live amongst Mushrik and don’t distinguish their own fires” Ibn Taymiyyah said “It is not allowed to live amongst Mushrik unless you are establishing Allah (swt) Deen”. 12. Reject any alliance with the disbelievers and disassociation from them : Have no friendship with the kuffar whether is when you are working for them, or if they call you to be part of their interfaith committee, etc. Do not buy from them, or work for the kuffar. Try not to deal with kuffar, instead deal with the Muslims, and work for the Muslims. If a Muslim is corrupted, let him take from you, it is halal but do not cooperate with him on the bad deeds. O ye who believe! Take not for friends’ unbelievers rather than believers: Do ye wish to offer Allah an open proof against yourselves? O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guides not a people unjust. [Surah Al Mai’dah 5:51] بَشِّرِ الْمُنَافِقِينَ بِأَنَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا “Give the Munafiqeen the tidings that for them is a painful torment” [Surah An Nisa 4:138] Imam Shafi said: ‘the one who says that the kuffar are better than a Muslim is a Kafir’. Ahmed bin Hanbal, Ibn Taymiyyah, Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab all said: ‘whoever doubts the Jews and Christians are Kafir or says that their Deen is better than our Deen they become Kafir’. 13. bu’du minal kuffar Keep distance from the disbelievers بعد من الكفار : If you work for a Kafir and he insults Islam, you may hit him and walk away. Abu Ubaydah ibn Al-Jarrah (ra) came face to face with his father who was a Mushrik at the Battle of Badr. Every time Abu Ubaydah met his father he turned away. He said “I feel like a Munafiq” and then turned and killed his father. The Messenger Muhammad (saw) said about him “Abu Ubaydah is the Trustee of the Ummah” لَا تَجِدُ قَوْمًا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ يُوَادُّونَ مَنْ حَادَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَوْ كَانُوا آبَاءهُمْ أَوْ أَبْنَاءهُمْ أَوْ إِخْوَانَهُمْ أَوْ عَشِيرَتَهُمْ Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. [Surah Al Mujadilah 58:22] Thumamah Al Yamani (ra) before he embraced Islam used to hate the Messenger Muhammad (saw), his face, his name, his Deen and his country. Allah (swt) sparked Hidayah in Thumamah’s heart. He entered the mosque and declared the Shahadah to the Messenger Muhammad (saw) but still wanted to say something afterwards to the Messenger (saw). He said “O! Muhammad by Allah (swt) there was no face I hated more than your face, your face is now the most dearest on the earth, there’s no Deen I hate more than your Deen, your Deen is the most dearest to me, no country I have except your country, now I love your country, now all the horses bring me to your country, I want to go Umrah, can I go?” the Messenger (saw) gave him permission. Thumamah went but was worried. The Mushrik came to him and said “You have come out of Deen of your parents and become a Sabik (extremist)”. Thumamah said “I left kufr not for kufr but for Islam, by Allah (swt) you will not get one atom of wheat from my country without the permission of Messenger (saw)” this was during 7 year drought Makkah faced. The Messenger (saw) gave him permission, so he then he gave wheat to Makkah. 14. Al-Wala Maintain your allegiance to Allah (swt) الولاء : Seek not to die except as a Muslim and have sincerity to Allah (swt) and maintain the Iman and the Ihsan with Talazom (moulding the inner with the outer). O ye who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam. [Surah Al Imran 3:102] From islambase.tk |
