<dc:subject>Legal</dc:subject>

MuslimPad is a blogging service for the Muslim community in specific, but anyone can join and create a blog. Blogs are a form of individual self-expression, and therefore, the rules for blogs on MuslimPad are less stringent than for posts on the message board.

Here are the basic restrictions:

1. Denigration of God (Allah) or the Prophets (Muhammad and others) - you are of course free to disagree with/criticise Islam and/or Muslims
2. Illegal activities/copyright violations
3. Sexually explicit materials
4. Hateful/inciteful speech
5. Spamming

Please note that all blogs are the responsibility of the individual authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of Islamic Network. To report blogs which violate our rules, please email info@islamicnetwork.com (please cite specific posts and specific violations). Islamic Network reserves the right to determine if content violates a specific rule.

Forums Content Policy

      <dc:subject>Legal</dc:subject>

Islamic Networking is an actively interacting online community, and as such, we recognize that people do affect one another. Therefore, in an effort to create a unique culture which is conducive to our larger goals, our forum rules are a little more stringent in order to provide as many users with as pleasant and beneficial an experience as possible.

We are seeking to maintain a message board with the following qualities:

* An environment which encourages different people to join and interact
* An environment which encourages serious discussion or debate on issues related to Islam
* An environment which provides utility, in which people exchange information and network with one another
* An environment which provides social interaction, where people can just hang out or share their passions

We feel that some message boards get dragged in directons that would hurt the atmosphere of diversity, intelligence, and creativity we are offering. In order to create an atmosphere which strikes a balance incorporating all of the above qualities, we have set up some simple guidelines.

Basic Rules (along with the moderation codes which accompany their violation):

Spamming results in an immediate ban and deletion of all posts. (Spam)
Personal attacks against other board members are not allowed. (PA)
Profanity as well as obscenity are not allowed. (Content)
Cross-gender relations must be respectable and not contain flirtatious elements. (GR)
Illegal activities or incitement to engage in illegal activities are not allowed. (Illegal)
Off-topic posts, excessive linking, copy/pasting, 1-1 conversations, or posts with one-word responses like “LOL” are not allowed. (OT)

User Accounts:

Accounts are not deleted - you can stop using it at any time.
Usernames are not modified except in extreme cases - take your time in choosing one.
Users do not have the ability to edit/delete posts after 1 hour - think before you post.

Security:

Excessive personal information (yours or someone else’s) should not be posted (home addresses, phone numbers, etc.).

Moderation:

All forum postings are the responsibility of the individual members and do not necessarily reflect the views of Islamic Network.
